Thumbs Cafe, Ipoh

Salam everyone! Last week, after work, I managed to have my dinner at Thumbs Cafe with Fatin and Zuria, both are my schoolmates. Tetiba rasa nak telan meatballs, meatballs IKEA tak ada sini jadi yang paling hampir adalah this cool cafe! This cafe owned by Muslim so no worries, it's halalan toyyiban!

So, I ordered Meatballs and chocolate drink topped with cream. As for Zuria, she ordered Tortilla Wrap and the same drink with me. While Fatin, she ordered Chicken Chop and black coffee also topped with cream.  Yang kelakarnya when the waitress came and gave Fatin her drink, tengok-tengok cream dah cair and dah blend terus dengan air since it's hot. Haha. 

Well, makanan kat situ best jugak. 4.5/5 stars for the food! But Fatin said the choices for drinks agak limited and they should add some other coffee sebab nama pun cafe kan? I setuju jugk since I pun gelabah tak tau dah nak order apa masa tu. I've been there for a couple of time, so everytime I pergi, the food memang yang sama je I order. Meatball! But when it comes to the drinks, tak tau dah nak pilih apa. I prefer coffee so kalau ada banyak pilihan, it'd be perfect!

And one thing for sure yang I'm satisfied is the deco. Homey and ranggi! I love the combination of the traditional look and DIY furniture. Sangat unik! 

But somehow I'm very upset sebab the concept is open air even though they do have bumbung. Kenapa I cakap macam tu? Sebabnya..semua tingkap and pintu diorang bukak. That's why I panggil open air. And there's no non-smoking section! So if someone's smoking, the smoke will circulate within the cafe. Tak terbang lepas, gittew. Memang our bad luck laa kot untuk hari tu, the guys who sat next to our table were smoking from the very beginning when we stepped in the cafe until we paid our bills! That was rude, I tell you. You know that other people are eating, so why not you go out and smoke outside kan? Since the cafe also has outdoor section. Tu memang betul-betul open air punya. 

This is not the fault of the cafe's management but the problem rooted from the attitude of smokers themselves. Tapi boleh je kalau next time the cafe put a sign for non smoking area. Baru boleh bawak my mom yang memang tak tahan asap rokok tu makan sana. Hah, bertambah sorang customer ye dak?

Ahah, for the location, it's located in Greentown Ipoh. Next to a steamboat restaurant if I'm not mistaken. And it's near to MARA building belakang Sekolah Ta'yah tu. Well, dah panjang I berleter kan? Jadi, jamulah mata dengan foto yang sempat dirakam! Maaf, kualiti tak bagus sangat. Hehe. Till next time. Bye!

Tips Baju Raya

It's Thursday and I'm in the office, doing nothing. The boss is not around and I don't know what else to do. So here I am, updating this blog which I can tell you that it's just me mumbling all alone. Can't wait to be home. Ergh..complaining like I'm still in my first week of internship. Pigidahh. It's been seven weeks laa! Wake up Farah! 

So, next Monday we'll be celebrating Aidilfitri and I still don't have my baju raya. Tempah dah dari sebelum puasa, and two days ago, when we received our baju raya from the tailor, it turned out that all the dresses are not up to the expectation! Singkatlah, ketatlah..senang cerita memang tak puas hati. Just imagine, kami tempah untuk 4 orang tapi sorang pun tak puas hati!

Actually it's partly our fault to send the dresses there. Tak pernah buat baju kat situ tup tup pergi hantar sampai 4 pasang. Memang silap besar! Then we sent them back to the tailor for alteration tapi..bersedialah menerima kemungkinan untuk dapat baju-baju tu lepas raya. So, moralnya jangan hantar kat tailor yang korang tak familiar with sebab nanti kalau tak puas hati apa semua, susah nak deal! Kalau nak try jugak tailor yang baru, make sure korang hantar sepasang baju dulu dan JANGAN sesekali hantar kain mahal! Karang tak elok ke apa, lepas tu nak alter pun dah tak boleh sebab silap ukuran bagai, mampuih. 

One more thing, kalau nak hantar tailor for customized cloth, jangan kedekut. Biar mahal sikit asal berbaloi. Karang korang punyalah nak letak labuci penuh kat satu badan, dengan kain bak duyung, lepas tu nak letak lace and patch semua tu..tiba-tiba jadi lain dari imaginasi. Dari duyung jadi dugong haa. Kan sedih tu? So, pergilah cari tailor yang memang kita pasti skill dia akan mampu merealisasikan impian kita. Most importantly, kita selesa pakai baju tu. Mahal pun tak nyesal.

I bet anyone who reads this post will be yawning. Bebel je banyak. Tips nya sebutir dua jeh. Hehe. It's better than nothing kan? I would say that this blog actually is for sharing tips and stories. Well, what we've gone through will not be exactly the same but we can learn from others' experiences jugak kan? Maybe through blogging we can give zakat ilmu as well, so I hope it'll benefit others. Insyaallah! Okaylah, nanti kita share benda lain pulak. Bye!

Restoran Caterbest, Bercham - Halal Chinese Food Restaurant!

Salam! So I've figured out what I should share here. Basically, oh okay, let's just jumble up BM and BI kat sini since kadang-kadang some sentences and words lebih sedap dirojak-rojakkan. Like what  I'm doing now. See, I dah kata sedap rojak bahasa ni. Hikhik. Ni kalau my English teacher tau, habis.

So, last two days, if I'm not mistaken..but it doesn't matter pun sebenarnya bila my family and I pergi buka puasa kat luar. Yang penting dalam bulan puasa la kan? :P Hah, sambung balik. We went to Caterbest Restaurant in Bercham, Ipoh. It's a halal chinese food restaurant. Belakang Tesco Extra jee. To be exact, berdepan dengan Petron petrol station. So, we booked earlier sebab malas nak tunggu since it's Ramadhan and people will be like, hmm..you know, crowded and you have to take the risk la perut kembung minum air je sementara diorang masak! I tak sesabar itu nyah. Hiks.

We ordered Siakap Masak Kerabu (Idk the exact name sebenarnya tapi sedap! Hihi), Butter Prawn, Sotong Goreng Tepung, Lemon Sauce Chicken, Japanese Tofu and Kangkung Goreng Belacan. I bagi rate 4/5 stars for the foods as a first timer makan chinese food. Okaylah tu kan? I love the lemon sauce chicken and butter prawn! Lemon sauce chicken tu digoreng rangup dan dicurahkan sos lemon yang yummeyh! Sedap gila baqhang! However, I tak recommend laa sotong goreng tepung tu. Berminyak sangat and tepung je yang banyaknya. Sotongnya kecik jeeee. Frust tahu? Padahal I bukan makan sangat sotong pun. Teehee. Tapi overall memang quite sedap weh!

Tapi..ermm tapi-tapi ni yang tak best ni. Haha. It's a bit pricey la. Lima orang makan, it cost us RM189. Ambik kau, I bagi exact amount. The food is okay tapi the watermelon juice we ordered tu laa yang overratednya. RM30 for a jug of juice. Kalau tau mahal, kami minum je sirap free diorang served tu. Haha. Rasa agak ralat laa sebab kalau buat jus sendiri pun lagi sedap and wayyy cheaper!

Oh! And one more thing. While enjoying our food, one of the waitresses came and gave each of us a pack of wet tissue. We didn't use it but we took it home since we thought it came with the package and guess what? They charged us RM10 for five packs of wet tissue. Ridiculous! Beli kat Watson murah lagi okay. Rasa nak bagi balik je tisu-tisu tu masa kat kaunter. Baru padan muka dia. Kehkeh. So be careful guys. Despite of the good food, the hidden and extra charges are the cons of this restaurant. Tokeyyy, tak baik woo main perangkap-perangkap customer =P

So that's all I nak share buat masa ni. Oh, sorry for the pictures. Camera tak cantik sangat kalau nak banding dengan Iphong! Hihih. Okaylah, bila-bila free, I share benda lain pulak ye. Bye!

Hi! I created a blog once again. Can't believe myself I did this since I abandoned my previous blog and later I deleted it. So, yeah..I'm not a first timer. Sigh. Frankly speaking, I myself don't even know why did I sign up again. Hurm, must figure out what to share later, I guess! Mihihi.
